About

Built on Experience

I started coaching after college. I’m an excellent communicator and love teaching social skills. I’m passionate about communication and relationships, and I love helping others unlock a rich, rewarding love life.

At the same time, I didn’t always know how to apply those skills to dating.

There’s a real problem: People seem to wait for Cupid (or destiny) to strike rather than making the sometimes scary but fulfilling voyage to find love.

The solution is something Greater Than Cupid. The solution to this “if it happens it happens” attitude is you. More specifically, the solution is social skills, confidence, and intentional action.

My experience helping people who struggled with confidence, communication, and motivation — combined with working through my own dating challenges — led me to launch Greater Than Cupid, a dating and relationship coaching company founded on a blend of experience, study, and passion.

The Problems I Faced

I wasn’t always clear on what I wanted in the search for my partner. I followed the advice of well-meaning people: Find a nice woman. It’s good advice, but over time I realized it was incomplete.

Nice is good — but it isn’t great. It certainly doesn’t sustain a relationship. Niceness can be performative. I didn’t want the bare minimum. I wanted connection where it counts. I wanted intentionality, emotional depth, and shared values before chemistry.

That clarity changed everything.

Before I started coaching and before I met my wife, I wrestled with another common issue: I didn’t know how to move things forward.

I would meet someone, get her number, and start talking, and then I would stall. I overthought timing, worried about missteps, and hesitated to express interest clearly. It created confusion and hesitation.

In many ways, I was waiting for “Cupid” to strike instead of taking intentional action.

That was the challenge I had to confront and overcome, and it became the foundation of my coaching. Since then, I’ve helped others move past the same fears, develop confidence, and build meaningful relationships through clarity, communication, and courageous action.

Love doesn’t happen with the strike of an arrow. It’s built intentionally, patiently, and courageously.

I did that work. And at the risk of sounding cheesy, I truly met the woman of my dreams. She is a living reminder that intentional love changes everything. I’m beyond grateful that it never worked out with anyone else and never moved forward, because those challenges led me to her.

Now, I’d be honored to help you achieve your relationship goals.

Education & Training

I hold a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Multimedia Journalism and Government. I was named the Outstanding Graduate in Multimedia Journalism for my graduating class, recognized for excellence in communication. My studies in government strengthened my strategic thinking and systems-level analysis.

My academic training sharpened my ability to examine communication patterns, think systematically, and understand how beliefs, incentives, and environments shape human behavior — including relational dynamics.

I have studied interpersonal communication extensively and believe communication is both an art and a science — something that must be understood, practiced, and refined.

I am also certified by Hart Coaching Academy, where I received formal training in coaching methodology, structured accountability, and client-centered growth strategy.
